Horsemanship Saddlery - Anatomical Bridles and Bits

In my consultations some of the bits and trial bridles come from the Horsemanship Saddlery - I like their ethos and mission to help riders and horses have high quality bit and bridles at mid range prices. Link to the Horsemanship Saddlery:

Transcend Bitless Bridle

I also use the Transcend Bitless bridles in consultations - a great option for those who want to go bitless, or whose horses are better off bitless. I use one with my own horse.

Ecole Legerete UK

The big turn around in my own riding and communication with my own horses has been from getting lessons from a Phillippe Karl Ecole Legerete Licenced Instructor. The ethos of Ecole Legerete is lightness and the Principles of the school are ones that I really relate to - you can read them on the website - but in brief are:- Using a simple bit, using a loose or no noseband, use of ground work, lunging with no auxilliary reins, and clarification of the aids from hand and legs.

Manolo Mendez Dressage

My start towards a more holistic approach to training horses came from Manolo Mendez - I attended a few of his UK clinics (pre Covid) with my then young stallion Alegre to get help and advice on starting a PRE stallion and then again once he was backed. Manolo's training, and ability to analise a horse's mental and physical state is inspiring. https://manolomendezdressage.com/
